From a family-run winery in the Douro, all the Infantado vineyards are class A and are planted on schistous soils in the Serra de Baixo, Serra Douro and Castelos. Rich and powerful, long fermentation at this estate results in a drier, more savoury Vintage Port. Deep, almost opaque, ruby in colour, with black cherries, plums and dark chocolate perfumes on the nose. On the palate the wine is fresh, fruity and spicy, beautifully balanced by round, ripe tannins. The finish is medium-dry, with fine, delicate perfumes of warm, ripe fruit.
