A Grenache dominated wine blended with
Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Clairette. All from the fine La Cra
vineyard in the Bédarrides commune. The grapes are part de-stemmed and
after fermentation the wine is aged for 10 months in concrete vats
followed by 10 months in wooden foudres. Lovely bright fruit, this is grippy but the tannins are so fine-tuned,
exhibiting gourmand, moreish sloe and damson fruit, hints of spicy
liquorice and fresh herbs, sweet, silky smooth, long and complex with a
floral, fruity finish.
