Champagne Louis Roederer Carte Blanche Demi Sec NV
Established in 1776, Champagne Louis Roederer is one of the few remaining completely independent, family-owned Champagne houses.
Aged in oak casks for 2-6 years. This wine spent an average of four years` ageing on its lees, plus another six months resting after disgorging. The wine is démi-sec, or a sweeter style meaning that the final dosage was greater at 42 grams per litre.
Carte Blanche is pale golden in colour with very fine bubbles and a nose of strawberries and cream alongside the complex brioche flavours of a wine aged for several years in the cellar. The reserve wines add depth to the smooth palate of apple and pear from the chardonnay and red berries (blackberries, raspberries, cherries) of Pinot Noir. Carte Blanche is a démi-sec Champagne, giving a fuller, rounder style to the palate and lingering sweetness on the otherwise
fresh, crisp finish.
