Champagne Deutz Brut Rose NV
Deutz is the epitome of understated excellence. Founded in 1838, the House is situated not in the conspicuously commercial centres of Reims or Epernay, but amongst the vineyards of one of the region’s greatest villages: Aÿ-Champagne. This sums up Deutz’s approach, in which style is always matched by substance.
Fruit is sourced exclusively from premiers and grands crus in the Montagne de Reims region, which is particularly famous for its Pinot Noir.Deutz use only the first pressings of juice (the cuvée) to maximise the quality of the finished wine. The rosé style is achieved by blending in 8% of red wine from a single plot of old vines on the hill of Aÿ. The wine is aged for nearly three years on lees to build structure and complexity.
Delicate mid-pink in colour, with aromas of strawberry and redcurrant, this delicious rosé showcases the fruit and finesse of Pinot Noir in Champagne.
